The American Women's Association (AWA) commemorated its 50th anniversary in Bahrain at the Movenpick Hotel surrounded by long-time members, friends and a special guest.
American Ambassador Steven Bondy and his wife Meghan marked the momentous occasion by praising the AWA’s achievements over the years.
The association has raised BD200,000 within the past decade alone to support more than 35 local charities in our community.
According to a spokesperson there, ‘this milestone not only reflects our dedication to empowering women but also our commitment to making a lasting difference in the community we serve’.
The presentation and speeches was followed up with individuals being awarded for all their efforts during their time with the AWA and a cake cutting.
